  • Please be respectful of and thank your Lifeguards! They do not create the rules, or set capacities. They are doing their best to accommodate everyone and provide a safe welcoming environment.

  • When you arrive a the facility, please form an orderly line.

  • Swims are first come first serve. Attend the pool of your choice and line up for the next public swim. Lifeguards will allow people to enter in the order that they lined up, until capacity is met.

  • If you are in the pool swimming, you may not leave to line up for the next swim until the current swim has ended.

Holding Spots in the Line:

This is a common question Lifeguards receive so we have tried to explain it as best as possible below.

These rules are intended to allow everyone to have a fair chance to swim. Holding spots is allowed so that small children or people not able to wait in line for an extended time have an option. 1 person can hold a spot for ~5 others that will be joining them.

Once the Lifeguards start allowing people in for a swim, swimmers will be let into the pool in the order they lined up until the pools capacity is met. If someone who’s spot is being held does not show up by the time people are being let into the pool, their spot will no longer be held.

Examples of what is permitted:

  • 1 person can hold a spot for their family (~5 people)

  • 1 family can hold a spots for a second family

Examples of what is not permitted:

  • 1 person can not hold spots for a large group like a Day Care

  • 1 person can not hold spots for a large group like a birthday or other group party

  • 1 person can not hold spots for a large extended family (more than ~5 people) kids, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Parents from each family would be able to line up.

  • You may not hold a spot for someone that is currently in the pool swimming.

  • You can not leave the current swim part way through to line up for the next swim. You may only line up at the end of the swim you are currently in.
