What happens if my child is registered in the wrong level?

Make sure you know what level your child(ren) are in when you are registering them. Either have their most recent report card ready when registering or bring them by one of the outdoor pools for an evaluation.

The most common issue we encounter is when children register for multiple set of swimming lessons before they start. Our staff will work with you to estimate your children's progress, but there are no guarantees they will be in the correct level after the first set of lessons. examples:

  • child is signed up for Swimmer 1 for Set 1 & Set 2. They complete Swimmer 1 after Set 1 and are now in the wrong level for Set 2.

  • child is signed up for Swimmer 3 for Set 2 and Swimmer 4 for Set 4. They do not complete Swimmer 3 after set 2 and need to repeat it. They are then in the wrong class for Set 4.

In cases like the above, our first goal is to find space in the correct level so your kid(s) can keep swimming. In the unfortunate case we are not able to find the correct level due to class space, availability, scheduling, etc. a full refund will be issued with no fee.

In situations where a child is registered in a class that is can not be explained by a reasonable error, the child will not be able to participate in the registered class, and a refund may not be issued even if a suitable class can not be found.

eg. an 8-year-old who has never swam is registered in a Swimmer 6.

We hope this section will not be required. This will only be applied to cases where it is decided someone has attempted to manipulate the system to get into classes where availability otherwise would have prevented it.
